2026 Hyundai Ioniq 6 N Arrives in North America

The second all-electric N car has officially landed in North America! At the 2025 Los Angeles Auto Show, the 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 6 N made its North American debut. A sedan sibling to the Ioniq 5 N, this fire-breathing Ioniq 5 N, it has the same dual-motor AWD setup with up to 641 hp and 568 lb-ft of torque. 0 to 60 mph, you ask? 3.2 seconds when using launch control.

Complementing all of that power are stroke-sensing electronically-controlled suspension dampers and a lowered roll center. Both help enhance the car’s grip and stability, especially on a track. New bushings give the Ioniq 6 N the right ride and handling balance, meaning you get the sharpness without sacrificing everyday comfort. Meanwhile, an electronically controlled limited-slip differential manages wheel torque for additional traction. Hyundai also improved axle stiffness, steering precision, and mount damping to achieve the desired ride and handling balance.

However, the go-fast goodies don’t stop there. The 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 6 N also includes aerodynamic improvements like a large rear wing and widened fenders that increase downforce while retaining a low 0.27 coefficient of drag. That ensures high-speed stability according to Hyundai. On the other hand, additional weld points, adhesives, and structural reinforcements strengthen the body. These include stiffer anti-roll bars and structural underbody reinforcements that improve load-bearing capacity and rear body stiffness. As a result, the Ioniq 6 N has sharper steering responses, reduced vibrations, and better ride quality.

2026 Hyundai Ioniq 6 N: All About Fun

Just like its SUV sibling, the Ioniq 6 N features the same powertrain upgrades and fun tricks. That means it includes a power-electronics system with higher efficiency and output, as well as things like N e-Shift, which simulates a traditional gearbox. On top of that, the Ioniq 6 N also includes N Launch Control, N Drift Optimizer, N Grin Boost, and N Torque Distribution. That means the driver can customize the way the car drives in a myriad of ways.

Moreover, the Ioniq 6 N includes N Ambient Shift Light, which gives you visual cues on when to shift. Plus, the N Active Sound+ system gives you plenty of visceral aural drama to every drive. Choose between three themes: Ignition, which simulates an internal combustion vehicle, the EV-focused Evolution, or Lightspeed with its futuristic sci-fi sounds.

Built for the Road and Track

Should you take your Ioniq 6 N to a track, the N Track Manager has your back. This feature allows drivers to create custom tracks, monitor speed data, and evaluate real-time ghost visuals and detailed lap-time analysis. It complements all of the other tools that the Ioniq 6 N has, allowing you to get the most out of every session. Additionally, the N Battery system helps optimize the traction battery for high-performance driving, offering three modes: drag, sprint, and endurance. Integrated conditioning functions enhance the pack’s endurance, while improved thermal management and an upgraded coolant heater significantly cut reconditioning time.

When it’s time to recharge, the Ioniq 6 N delivers. Thanks to its 400V-800-volt architecture, DC charging from 10 to 80 percent on a high-powered station only takes 18 minutes under ideal conditions. Hyundai also added an improved Integrated Charging Control Unit to boost power density and charging capacity. In North America, the Ioniq 6 N should also have access to Tesla Superchargers, providing even more convenience for charging on the go.

A Super Sedan With Strong Value

The 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 6 N comes standard with 20-inch alloy wheels, sport bucket seats with Performance Blue accents, a full suite of driver assistance technologies, and more. Expect the Ioniq 6 N to come as a single loaded trim when it goes on sale next year. Pricing will likely remain in the same ballpark as the Ioniq 5 N, which starts at around $68,000. It also debuts Performance Blue Pearl, a new take on Hyundai N’s signature exterior color. You can also choose Serenity White, Onyx Black, and Nocturne Grey Matte. Alongside the Ioniq 6 N, Hyundai is also launching N Performance parts for its N vehicles in the U.S. market.
