2026 Nissan Pathfinder Gets Updated Design and Tech

The refreshed 2026 Nissan Pathfinder is here, and thank the car gods, it retains the desirable powertrain. Unlike its more luxurious cousin, the Infiniti QX60, the Pathfinder retains the 3.5-liter V6 engine paired to a nine-speed automatic transmission. That means 284 hp and 259 lb-ft of torque under your right. As before, FWD comes standard, while AWD is optional except on the Rock Creek trim, where it comes standard. Towing capacity starts at 3,500 lbs. for most models, or 6,000 pounds depending on how the SUV is equipped.

As before, the refreshed 2026 Nissan Pathfinder comes in five trims: S, SV, Rock Creek, SL, and Platinum. It receives updated front and rear fascias, satin exterior badges, and a new exterior color called Baltic Teal. Inside, the restyled dashboard includes “Pathfinder” spelled out on the dashboard. SL and Platinum grades now come with silver roof rails. The latter also sees a 20-inch alloy wheel design, a new seating quilt pattern, and wood-tone trim. Rock Creek models now include a panoramic moonroof, wireless charging, a heated steering wheel, and a 12-volt outlet as standard.

Every trim now comes standard with a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additionally, the SL trim includes a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. Meanwhile, the wireless charger now charges devices faster and includes a cooling fan to minimize heat build-up. Nissan also improved the HD Intelligent Around View Monitor with Front Wide View and Invisible Hood View functions. All models include the Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite of active safety features as standard equipment. ProPilot Assist, a semi-autonomous driver assistance technology, comes standard on the SV trim and up.

The 2026 Nissan Pathfinder makes its public debut at the 2026 Los Angeles Auto Show next week. It goes on sale in early 2026.
