2026 Hyundai Ioniq 5 Sees Massive Price Drop

Shots fired. That’s right. Hyundai just shook up the EV segment with a massive price drop for the 2026 Ioniq 5. That makes one of the best EVs on the market even more attainable than ever. Depending on the trim, the 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 5 sees prices drop by $7,600 for the base Standard Range model up to a whopping $9,800 for the SEL variant. On top of that, all 2025 Ioniq 5s continue to receive a $7,500 incentive for purchases and leases.

As a result, the base 2026 Ioniq 5 now starts at $36,600 for the Standard Range model. The range-topping Limited checks in at $46,675 for the RWD model or $50,575 in dual-motor AWD configuration. Looking for something a little more rugged? The Ioniq 5 XRT checks in at $47,875. Add $600 if you want a tow hitch with that one. That puts the Ioniq 5 right on top of the Toyota bZ, Chevrolet Equinox EV, and Subaru Solterra. Other competitors, such as the Ford Mustang Mach-E and Volkswagen ID.4, have not yet announced pricing for their 2026 models.

In terms of other changes, the 2026 Ioniq 5 now comes standard with a portable dual-voltage charging cable. That allows you to charge at level 1 or level 2 speeds, whichever is available. Sage Silver matte also joins the exterior color palette. On the other hand, Vibrant Ultimate Red and Cosmic Blue Pearl are now available on all Ioniq 5 models, instead of just the XRT trim.

Every 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 5 comes standard with the NACS charging port. The Standard Range model uses a 63-kWh battery, while the long-range models use an 84-kWh pack. EPA ratings are 245 miles for the Standard Range and up to 318 miles for the long-range variants, depending on configuration.
