2026 Honda HR-V Receives Styling Updates and Upgraded Tech

2026 Honda HR-V

The 2026 Honda HR-V has received a subtle yet meaningful refresh with some welcome upgrades. Every HR-V now comes standard with a 9-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a wireless charger. Meanwhile, two new exterior colors join the palette: Solar Silver Metallic and Boost Blue, the latter being exclusive to the mid-level Sport trim.

In terms of styling tweaks, the HR-V lineup receives fresh new alloy wheels, with the EX-L trim upgrading to larger 18-inch units. Additionally, EX-L models also get front footwell lighting, silver steering wheel spokes, and dynamic climate control knob lighting. Sport models feature black exterior accents, a sport grille, and a chrome exhaust finisher.

For 2026, the HR-V continues to offer three trims: LX, Sport, and EX-L. A 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine making 158 hp and 138 lb-ft of torque remains the sole engine option, paired exclusively with a CVT. It features three drive modes: Normal, Eco, and Snow. Every trim also offers AWD as an option. Meanwhile, the EPA rates the FWD HR-V at 26/32/28 city/highway/combined. Opting for AWD drops those numbers down to 25/30/27 mpg.

2026 Honda HR-V: A Good Value?

In terms of standard equipment, the 2026 HR-V features a 7-inch digital gauge cluster and the full Honda Sensing suite of driver-assistance features. Blind spot monitor and rear cross-traffic alert are standard on the Sport and EX-L trims. However, only the latter includes parking sensors and Low Speed Braking Control.

Pricing for the 2026 Honda HR-V starts at $27,595 for a base LX with FWD, while the range-topping EX-L checks in at $31,445. AWD adds $1,500 to the sticker price. Which trim do we recommend? Stick to at least the Sport, which includes heated front seats. The EX-L adds leather-trimmed seats with 8-way power adjustment for the driver, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a power moonroof.
