The 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 6 N marks the next chapter in the Korean brand’s electrification of performance. Debuting at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Hyundai’s second all-electric super sedan brings several enhancements to a winning formula.

2026 Hyundai Ioniq 6 N: N-hanced Powertrain
The Ioniq 6 N shares its foundations with its crossover sibling, the Ioniq 5 N. That means an 84-kWh battery under the floor and two electric motors that make 650 hp and 568 lb-ft of torque. Activate N Launch Control and the car will hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in a blistering 3.2 seconds before topping out at approximately 160 mph.
To meet the demands of high-performance driving, the Ioniq 6 N features a revamped battery management system called N Battery. Designed for optimal temperature management, it adapts to a range of track driving scenarios, including drag, sprint, or endurance racing. By using the battery preconditioning function, the Ioniq 6 N offers higher and longer-lasting track performance. Optimized thermal management control and a larger capacity battery coolant heater are also included to reduce conditioning time.
In addition to powertrain enhancements, Hyundai reworked the chassis and suspension geometry for maximum precision and grip. A lower roll center allows the Ioniq 6 N to deliver greater stability at high speeds and improve cornering grip both on the road and track. Additionally, the revised suspension doesn’t compromise on comfort, promising good ride quality for daily driving. Plus, the new stroke-sensing Electronically Controlled Suspension dampers allow for a wide range of damping force adjustments. As a result, it gives the Ioniq 6 N improved ride quality and predictable, responsive handling, whether on the daily commute or the track.

Purposefully Designed
Beyond the revised mechanical bits, the Hyundai Ioniq 6 N makes extensive use of aerodynamics to improve its performance. Widened fenders and a swan neck rear wing all contribute to improving downforce and reducing drag. That means the motorsport-inspired looks also bring function alongside visual drama and impact.
Hyundai didn’t end the drama with the car’s looks. Hyundai also enhanced all of the extra gadgetry that gave its electric performance cars their signature character. N Active Sound+ returns to ensure that you’ve got aural drama behind the wheel, while N e-shift lets you simulate gears like on a traditional gas vehicle. Meanwhile, N Ambient Shift Light gives the drivers visual cues on when to upshift.
Customization remains a hallmark of the Hyundai N performance EV. The N Drift Optimizer lets the driver customize parameters to match their skill level and driving style. On the other hand, the N Track Manager lets you evaluate track performance data through real-time ghost cars visuals and a detailed analysis of each run. Moreover, the Ioniq 6 N includes features like N Grin Boost to temporarily boost the total system output for a short time. N Torque Distribution, which allows the driver to manually adjust torque distribution between the front and rear wheels.
A Growing Legacy of Performance
The 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 6 N marks the latest in a growing portfolio of performance cars from the Korean brand. It joins its crossover sibling, the Ioniq 5 N, and the gas-powered Elantra N. To further draw on its performance heritage, Hyundai will also launch N performance parts for the Ioniq 6 N at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Expect the Ioniq 6 N to arrive in the U.S. next year.
