One year after a significant refresh, the Ford Maverick returns for 2026 with some minor changes. In addition to the two new exterior colors, Marsh Gray and Orange Fury Metallic Tri-Coat, the power-sliding rear window is now available on four trims: XLT, Lobo, Lariat, and Tremor. The biggest change for 2026? The return of the front-drive Maverick EcoBoost. That means the 2.0-liter turbo-four no longer comes standard with AWD. However, you can add it for an extra $1,000 or by selecting a higher trim.
Pricing for the 2026 Ford Maverick starts at $29,535 for the XL EcoBoost model with FWD. Meanwhile, the equivalent hybrid starts at $30,535, a $1,000 upcharge over the gas-only model. However, AWD costs an extra $2,220 on the Maverick Hybrid, increasing the starting price of the XL to $32,755. The base model does come nicely equipped, though. It includes a standard 13.2-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an eight-inch instrument cluster display, and a host of driver assistance features like automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection.

Higher trims include the Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0 suite, a B&O premium audio system, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel. Meanwhile, the sporty Maverick Lobo includes a lowered performance-tuned suspension, enhanced steering and brakes, and a Lobo drive mode. On the other hand, the Tremor model adds orange accents, a lifted off-road-tuned suspension, all-terrain tires, and Trail Control with 1-pedal drive. Additionally, the Tremor includes a twin-clutch rear drive unit with an electronic locking rear differential.
Power outputs remain at 250 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque for the EcoBoost models. That comes exclusively with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Meanwhile, the Maverick Hybrid has 191 net horsepower. Fully loaded minus port or dealer-installed accessories, a 2026 Maverick costs roughly $45,000 before other fees.
