A third body style for the Kia K4 has been revealed, and it’s called the Sportswagon. Yup, the stylish and techy Korean compact now has a wagon variant, and people in North America can’t have it. Think of it as an elongated K4 Hatchback, but with an additional 5 cubic feet of cargo capacity and a cool Hofmeister kink-looking detail on the D-pillar. The added length also increases rear seat leg room, making this wagon more comfortable for longer drives. Otherwise, it looks quite similar to the hatchback, just boxier and roomier. Heck, even the rear taillights look identical to the hatchback and sedan!
For an even sportier look, the Kia K4 Sportswagon GT-Line adds gloss black exterior accents and cladding. Plus, it features distinct front and rear bumpers and model-specific interior colors and materials. Inside, it’s the same as the sedan and hatchback. That means you get an available dual 12.3-inch display layout with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a Harman Kardon premium audio system. You can also option with Digital Key 2.0 and a full suite of driver assistance features. The latter includes technologies like Highway Driving Assist 2 and the Blind Spot View Monitor.

In terms of powertrains, the K4 Sportwagon launches with two familiar units. The 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder starts things off with 115 hp and 127 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed manual comes standard, while the 48-volt mild hybrid variant of the same engine with the same output uses a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. The K4 Sportswagon also offers an available 1.6-liter turbo-four paired to the same seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The standard output has 150 hp and 184 lb-ft, while a higher-output variant makes 180 hp and 195 lb-ft.
For now, the Mexico-built K4 Sportswagon has been confirmed only for Europe.
